Before starting a repair, you can give a customer a written estimate instead of committing to a final invoice. From Sell, choose to add a quotation — it uses the same product/pricing screen as a normal sale, but is saved as a quotation rather than a completed invoice.
Once the customer approves, you can convert the quotation straight into a sale without re-entering anything.
